Stefon Harris: There are no mistakes on the bandstand
I think that notion of mistakes in music is quite interesting.
I love using dissonances when I play the guitar and it is true that it surprises the people who are listening to you and even you but when you seize the occasion to give your song* another ton, it can be wonderful, still surprising but wonderful for you.
If you wanna hear some examples, you can't listen to people performing Leo Brouwer compositions.
* As far as I'm concerned, it wasn't my song as long as I am not able to write a song :)
